English Assignment #5

d. What is climax of this novel? What happens? How do the events of this novel make you feel?

The answer: After all according to the first definition, when Jack rebels and forms his own tribe, resulting in a "war" between his boys and Ralph's. According to the second definition, the climax occurs when Ralph fights Jack and Piggy die. I didn't know that Piggy is dead after all. Also these events make me to surprise of this story. Incidentally Jack’s selection of the vulnerable sow arises from his defeated attempt to depose Ralph and foreshadows his later actions. I mean they were having very dangerous and had hard time that much. The hunters had stole Piggy’s (one of the fire-watchers) glasses so that they may have a means of making a cooking fire. In addition, one of the more vicious hunters’ roles a boulder off of a cliff, crushing Piggy, and causing the death of yet another rational was being. This story concludes with the hunters hunting. After lighting half of the island on fire in an attempt to smoke Ralph from his hiding place, they chase him on to the beach only to find a ships captain and crew waiting there to rescue them, because he saw the smoking.

The answer: Most of this book's settings are memorable or beautiful to

me. Such as first island which is this story's outset background.

At first, Ralph and Piggy were seacrhing remaining people

who was sick of being here.

I mean, they were just seacrhing people for being out on island.

Also they went to jungle and rocky mountain

to find the other people.

According to story, they don't tell us where the island is. Therefore

this story just took a setting that totally on the island.

Nevertheless, I want to see where they were dropped.

In my imagination, that island is beautiful and nice.

My answer:

Ralph, Piggy are the main characters, since they came out at first time in this story.

When I looked Piggy, he is just shy boy in my opinion. When Ralph answered what Piggy

asked him, Piggy was waiting for what Ralph is going to ask him as who are you.

I mean, there is no worst or bad thing as character. So I liked every main characters. Also

I can not compare who is bad character something like that. And I didn't read this book very much.

Therefore, I need to read a book more than now. As well as I want to enjoy this book whenever I got boring or anything.

f. Please choose one passage from the novel that is significant to you. Why is this passage menaingful? Please type it into one of your entries and comment on what you think about the passage.

My answer:

"Facts can change all the time, but my opinion never will." This one of passage shows me the

despair of human beings. That means, I strongly agree that facts can change all the time. But, If

I remembered bad facts that really makes me disturbing. But there's a some more meanings

that positive way. It is do not give up for your crisis. Also when I despair again, I need to think this passage to being strong.
